i want to install windows tho with going to hard disk first wouldnt that try to load the windows thats on it already instead of installing it?

Nope, I always have my hard disk as first boot device whenever installing windows. I'd still try this if you haven't already.

Do you have a USB stick plugged in by chance? That could be causing the hang.

Your drive is set as the Master, correct?

only thing plugged into the back is monitor power and keyboard(ps/2) drive is the only drive in the case and yes set to master

to speedeuphoria i ran memtest while i took a 4 hour nap and no errors i also tried to install on 1 stick in yellow that didnt work so i tried diff stick same slot didnt work... tried first stick in orange didnt work... tried other stick in orange still didnt work

and yes ran memtest on each stick individually then both sticks at once (4 hour nap on both sticks 2 passes on full test no errors)

so i think i narrowed it down to the hdd.... i ran the diag tool in tmods disc and the quick test came back with a read error 0007 (i think read error) but the code was deffinatly 0007

i also tried putting the hdd as first boot device and it went to the windows that is slowly killing itself
