thedougster Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I have a XP-90 that i use in my rig right now. I am about to upgrade my system to a E6750 on a Asus P5N-E mobo and was wondering if i could use my XP-90? I looked a the Thermalright website and seen something about an adaptor kit. I think they call it LGA775 RM. Does anyone know if this is what i am looking for? Cheers
RyderOCZ Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Yes, it will work fine and yes you need the adapter kit for 775. It consists of a pair of rails with hooks to clip the heatsink to. The rails get screwed down through the 4 holes around the CPU socket where the stock cooler goes.
Angry_Games Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 yep, I use an XP-120 on my E6400 and I've used the XP-90 on my E6600 before I put a waterblock on it. Just get the 775 adapter kit like Ryder suggests.
