E6850 OC (results)

I enjoy pushing the limits and finding my high score/benchmarks. Do you use any windows tweaks when running super pi. My best 32M run is done with my version of copywaza....makes a big difference....don't know why but it improves my 32M times by 6-7s. Timing is key when using it. ;)

Do you have any 3DMark scores? Would be interesting to see a 8800 GT in action. I haven't really looked/seen any benchmarks for them.

My top 3DMark scores using an C2D E6850 & 8800 GTX @ 648/1026 MHz:

3D01-74592

3D03-47467

3D05-23285

3D06-14107

That looks good (the score not the link) ;), what's the CPU Mhz?

Edit: link works and I see all the info :D

I need to uninstall NOD32 and run these all again. Can't turn the damn thing off.

But for now, I am going to try to get some sleep.

Yeah, looks like futuremark had a problem with their server for a few minutes. it happens.

Oh, and my last run at 4Ghz on 3Dmark06 netted a 14010, but I can't publish that one since I am on the demo. of course i leave the highest listed. The specs on that run is [email protected] 8800GT 735/1800/1010 RAM 850 5-5-5-10

3DMark05 - 23358

3DMark03 - 43269

3DMark01 - 64573

Thanks Taowulf for posting ur scores. The 8800 GT appears to do better on 3Dmark 05 & 06 than the 8800 GTX.

When I started testing at 3Ghz and the stock 8800 GT SC speeds, I was getting just under 12K. Pushing it from 650 to 735Mhz core has been fun.

The GT is a good card but it's not that good. Price to performance it's still the best card at the moment that nVidia has. If a person can find one. :)

400MHz less on the processor, close to same score.

True....they're priced good but never in stock. Now if only I could get my GTX to reach those nice OC. I've seen your guide and wonder......should I Soop Up my 8800GTX. Thanks Praz

Don't want to derail this thread so I'll make it short. That's a decision only you can make. Base it on your confidence of being able to do the mods and the ability of buying another card if something goes wrong. On one hand the mods are easy to do but on the other destroying the card seems just as easy for some people.

Sorry to hear.....that sux. My 680i also died awhile back. Might be time for a upgrade (780i/790i) when the selection and prices are better. :D

When the RMA comes back, i should be OK.

If it dies again, I might go back to DFI.
