red930 Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 The first phase of the project was completed a couple of weeks ago and an official launch party was held last week. The first test-stand is up and running but not quite fully functional yet. They are running live tests but in a fixed position without using the thrust-reverser until they've gathered additional data to qualify the instruments and test stand its self. They're still operating out of temporary buildings until early next year when the permanent structures are completed. http://www.wlox.com/Global/story.asp?S=7201291 There's a video link just under the dateline. wevsspot Posted October 14, 2007 Posted October 14, 2007 Excellent links Ex, I've always been fascinated with flight in general, and space flight in particular. You have a VERY exciting job (and leaving me feeling somewhat jealous honestly). If you ever need an Adminstrative Assistant/Bodyguard just let me know So what's the next top secret method of propulsion. Liquid and solid propellants are getting so passe'. Warp drives? Atomic fuel? Solar sails? Or something we've never even imagined in the general public? I know.... I know.... If you told me you'd have to kill me.
