Zalman VF900-CU replacement heatsinks/adhesive thermal tape

Recommended Posts

Hey guys its good to be back on the best forums in the world! Anyways, recently my card pooped on me when I was switching around PCI cards in my computer and I have to RMA my card. Only problem is I had the Zalman VF900-CU cooler on it and I had to take off the memory heatsinks to replace the cooler with the stock one. I am just wondering if anyone has or knows where to get the sticky pads or replacement heatsinks that keep these little suckers stuck to the memory chips. I guess I could remove the gunk thats left over on them now and use an adhesive thermal paste. Suggestions anyone?

Yah, I just remembered I had some BFG graphics card memory heatsinks that I was going to use for hot spots on my mainboard but never got around to it. They are long but I could cut them to size or just run one along like 3 or 4 of the memory chips. I think I will do this temporarily until I get some of those thermal pads that you linked Thunda, thnx a lot bro. Here's a link for the sinks I am referring to: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku...%20Technologies

Just make sure the sink(s) are sitting flat on the mem chips..

LOL I ordered some of that stuff you mentioned the first time right away. Oh well it was only about $20 or so.
