greatscott68 Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 I've owned both of those cards (the extreme music on the x-fi) - and they were both great. Can't go wrong with either.
ZOldDude Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Hi guys my onboard audio went out onmy DFI ( I see no reason to RMA it just for that ) & I was looking at this Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional Series I like the one that Mr.technodanvan suggested but I would like the EAX. So is this a good card ? It'll be used for lots of Gaming like BF2 , Doom 3 ,Quake 4 , COD 2 ect..... Call them up and they will ship you a new sound unit. You don't have to send them your MB or even the old sound unit! I had a problem come up that put some sort of "AC hum" into my microphone input...changed mics and drivers did nothing to fix it. Talked to DFI (in California) and even got the new unit the next day via UPS. As the "AC hum" comes and goes and has no effect on anything but my mic/voice programs I still have the new unit sittng next to my monitor !
