ComicDom1 Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Based on my experience with the Zalman 9700 its very hard to attach the screws because of the increase in diameter of the copper fins that surround the fan. The larger design affected the clearance and angle of the screw driver needed to reach the screws. Also the fan protrudes from the front of the heat sink so you need to make sure it does not come in contact with any wires inside your computer. After receiving mine, I contacted Zalman and discussed this with them. I suggested they would be better off using thumbscrews to attach the 9700. There are a couple of models of the Ninja. Lol Now after reading some reviews I found that it can be an even better cooler with a better 120mm fan. Plus, I dont really like the colour scheme of the thermaltake one. But the Typhoon is actually cheaper too so I have some money left over and want to get another 120mm fan, from Nintek, not anywhere else. Prospector Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 I use the TTBT on my naked Opty.I replaced the stock mounting bolts with ones a little longer,and used wingnuts.Much easier!Any decent hardware store will carry them.
