The Joker Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 hey guys, i have bought a zalman Zalman CNPS9500 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct....rodid=HS-021-ZA but. . the darn thing looks massive i have not had a chance to install it yet, and i dont want to infringe on the warranty by messing with it. i am wondering if any one owns this cooler and has had problems. My DFI NF4 ULTRA D looks as though the side of the physical flower will be touching my orange DIMM slot.

slick2500 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I have the CNPS9500 LED for the 939 and it fits on my Expert board without any issues. After compareing some pics of the cooler it sits high enough off the socket it wont even touch the ram, regardless of how you situate it.just remember to situate it so that it blows the air to an exhaust fan. taowulf Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I have one on my NF590, it has just the slightest bit of space between the fins and the 1st yellow slot. http://www.drizzle.com/~beowulf/caseinside.jpg
red930 Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 It'll probably depend on what kind of ramsinks you've got on that Corsair, if it's the taller style it might not fit very well. Not to say you couldn't orient it a different way, or use the yellow slots even.
hotgasaxe Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 G'Day, I've had one now for over 12 months. It's fitted 3 different MoBos, Gigabyte, Asus, and now my DFI Expert. To say I'm happy with it is an understatement ! I put a Big Typhoon on the Kids Prescott, that I they inherited. The temps were within 2c of the CNPS9500 LED when I had the Prescott. It doesn't suck the air & dust down onto the RAM Slots and MoBo, which is a problem in dustier places like Rural Oz. Plus it's "prettier", the Kids call it Tha Pimp Light" ! It clears my OZC Gold PC-4000 RAM with Heat Spreaders by nearly 25mm. [edit] It's also 'friendlier' to move from one Mobo to another than the BT. The BT has a slightly adhesive pad, on the back of the MoBo, that has a tendency to tear or leave parts of it behind.[/edit] I hope this helps...
