UncleDavid218 Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Links? The Samsung is cheaper, but it does not have Perpendicular Recording like the Seagate...
MrNovi Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 I have two of the 16meg cache 320GB 7200.10 SATA II Seagates and love 'em. They're the first drives that caused me to stop purchasing Western Digitals. I may avail myself of this offer myself. One can never have enough hard drives. OsamaBinAthlon+ Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Hmm should I get this and use with my raptor, or just sell the raptor? Thats alot of diff drives to have in a raid array.

If it was me, I'd run the Raptor as the system drive and use the Seagate(s) as the storage/data drive(s). Move the My Documents folder to the Seagate(s) and store NOTHING on the Raptor. Would see a big improvement in overall performance. And I wouldn't try to raid them all together either. Too much hassle and overall lower performance.
