Have you ever bought a game system or pc just for 1 game

I've upgraded parts and pieces for specific games. I upgraded to S939 to upgrade my box from S754 because I knew I would not have the cash to lay out for an Intel Conroe system and I was intrigued by dual core cpu's. I had planned to spring for a duallie as soon as prices dropped (which I did !) I plan to run the S939 platform until the dust settles with Vista and real Dx10 games are available. Then I'll probably just upgrade to the new OS and a new vid card eventually. But, who knows ? Regarding Crysis, Crysis is just a high end game that will use Dx9 and SM3 used to its fullest extent.
