fartonmyear Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 yes. you can always raid 2 hard drives for less than $200.
CPDMF Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 No issues with Raptors on any DFI board. Just about any 2 sata drives in RAID0 will be faster than a single Raptor for less money. Raptors in RAID is another story though.
michaelzhao Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Newegg. They have individual Raptors for $140 and a $20 rebate. I actually got my rebate from WD so its actually worth it.
old_geekster Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Welcome to the "Street". I have not read of any problems with WD Raptors and DFI mobos. However, I would suggest saving some money and go with 2 - 7K80 Deskstar Hitachis in RAID 0. The last time I checked newegg they were $42.99 + shpg USD each: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....ry=1984&Ntk=all
SeanDude05 Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 You cannot go wrong with the 80Gig Hitachis or Samsungs from Newegg. ^^^
