cheesetogo Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Rember that a single XTX can require more juce than two Nvidia cards. Cold boot is often fixed with one of the better PSU's. Next time you get a PSU consider one of the A list on the recomended list. The new OCZ or FSP epsilon. The 535 watt enermax is on the A list. red930 Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 The 535 watt enermax is on the A list. The "A" list has not been updated properly since we lost davidhammock200. The ATI cards are PSU eaters. A high quality PSU with at least 600 watts is the minimum recommendation for a card like the XTX.
red930 Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Well something I forgot to mention. I get one long beep follow by two short ones when I cold boot the PC and when I press reset to get it restarted I get the all is ok single beep. That beep code is a video card failure. eat2na Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 I ordered the OCZ GamerXtream 600Watts. Is the same as the Epsilon 600Watts. Should be here in three days.
eat2na Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Cold boot problem fixed :shake: I received the GameXtream OCZ PSU today and it boots very fast. Works like a charm. I was a little concern thinking that the four 12V rails were 15Amps but I am happy to report that they are actually 18A just like the 700 Watts model. The only difference between them is the watts.
