Yes, this is old news... But I REALLY enjoyed reading it! In fact, I printed it out for my brothers to read... Its sad but amazing what people will do when they have something of such true value in their hands. :D

It's a story about easily the rarest Shelby Cobra ever made, and how it quickly became a $4-million car and drove one poor lady literally insane and drove her to killing herself.

I'd paste the entire article here, but it's 5 pages long and i'm sure you can click to the link at Car & Driver

Here's another link to a site with info and pictures of the beauty:

What are your thoughts on this 5 year old story?

Wow, I missed this when it happend.

Interesting story.

If I had all the mustangs I had when I was a kid they would be worth 200k or so.

*(I have owned a lot of them)

If rounmors are coprrect in the postscript, at least it goes to the shelby musem. Can't think of a better place for it.

That's an incredible saga!

I'm old - I was in high school when those Daytona coupes took 1-2-3 at the LeMans 24 Hours. They were rude, crude, and SCARY FAST!

Sounds like one of those books that are just to strange to be levable so you stop reading them. she very easaly could have ended up the same way with no care in the picture some forms of mental illness start early or are genetic.

Got bored... skipped to the end.. which then didn't make sense. You have to be mad to set yourself on fire though.

I can see this article making NO sense @ all if you dont read it right through. Hell, it didn't even make sense to me the first time through and I read it fully..
