Pr3dator8 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 hmmm well after about 4 months use after installation i discovered that i haddent plugged in the 5v/12v (FDD-TYPE) into the power suply....how screwed am i? Prometheous Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 The board just needs lots of power. With only the 20 and 4 pin power connectors in most people don't have much problem. However for some components and especially when overclocking the motherboard the additional 2 power cables (the floppy style and the molex) are very important as they stabalise the board, allowing it to be pushed further. Don't worry that you didn't have the cables in, it will not have damaged your motherboard. However I would recommend that even if your fine without them, they should be in at all times, have fun .
