kaizoku Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 For the past couple days i've been trying to get my computer up and running. Whenever i try to install Windows XP it all seems to be going fine untill it resets after copying all the setup files. The computer restarts and displays the windows XP loading screen but after that it blue screens. I've run memtest and it detected no errors, tried different hard drives and different XP SP2 discs. I've flashed the bios to the most recent one on the website and still no luck. I'm also not using the primary IDE slot. This is driving me insane. Anyone have any other suggestions to try? axia Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 oddly i had the exact same problems, i was able to overcome them by installing sp1 and then upgrading to sp2 with a upgrade. Obviously not a ideal situation but it is hard to tell what is causing a problem on a new build.
Fcon_Vpro Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 I had problems with the discs when I couldnt get it to install. Just changing the disc solved my issue. I also think try a disc without any service packs and see if it works.
