Can 3800+ x2 have 11xcpu multi?

right now i am trying to find a bios that will allow me to run my athlon 64 3800+ x2 with a 11x multi. thanks.

Never heard of such a thing, I'm pretty certain you're stuck with 10x...which is all usually use anyways.

my ram can run at 250mhz but my cpu is stable at 2.7ghz so i was just wanting to use 250*11 damn that sucks.

 

also what is the best bios version to use to overclock.

The x2 3800+ has a max 10 multiplier, no higher.

i tried that i have to use a 7/10 divider for my comp to boot. its weird and i cant figure it out that is y i was wanting to get 11x cpu multi

well for 11x you need a 4200+ or a 4400+ a Opty 175? or a FX60 which is unlocked both ways..there is no way to unlock multipliers on the normal X2's.

Try the 704-2BTA. I can use the 180 divider on that with Opty. Course you can get an FX and not use Dividers, just multi's.

my cpu isnt the problem its my ram. it can run 1:1 with my cpu at 250fsb but if i go to 270 then i have to run it on a 7/10 divider which gives me 192mhz per versus 250mhz
