General912 Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 I was helping my nehibor with hard drive stuff, when she saw a bottel of bawls guarana on my desk. She said that she heard that Guarana the active ingreadint in BAWLS, can incress your heart rate and could eventully lead to congestive heart failer. So I decided to do some research of my own. I found a few sites about it. Note that this is just one study and may not reflect other peoples views on guarana. http://www.abc.net.au/science/news/health/...lish_300653.htm http://www.health4youonline.com/article_gu...ana_flights.htm http://www.wral.com/health/1591403/detail.html
d3bruts1d Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 (edited) Yeah... anything that speeds up your heart can caue problems. Coke, Mnt. Dew, Red Bull, Stacker 2, coffie, anything with Caffiene. kobalt Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 Of course it does, and dont forget the cafeine, why do you think this stuff keeps you up all night it's got the cafeine you find in about 3 espresso coffe cups. If you gulp down 6 or more of these (in a lan party in one sitting) you'll be bouncing off walls, and your heart will do the same. Just like a good heart OC but your arteries wont like it. *Ooohhh yeah i feel good!!! and it's only 4:30 AM*

UberN00b3r Posted September 2, 2003 Posted September 2, 2003 burger king and chinese food can kill you too, but our country seems to enjoy things thats are "bad" for you. Most of the things arent really bad enough to kill you, if done in moderation. Its those people who go nuts and drink like 3 cases of Bawls at once and their heart implodes or soemthing. UberN00b3r Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 i used to do speed all the time...now THAT will mess you up nah im just playin, but im pretty sure that bawls is "dangerous" just because it gets your heart goin faster, so those with really really weak hearts could get messed up after a while....but hey, gotta live on the wild side sometimes hehe

bigred Posted September 3, 2003 Posted September 3, 2003 any stimulat will kill you eventually. Speed, Cocaine, Things like that are the worst, but caffiine, ginsing, nicotene can cause heart irrithmia.
