RATM Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 Hello there! This is my first thread, and i wish it never happen! So i just got my new board and it dont want to cooperate! When i power on the system, all i got is nothing. First time i powered it, i saw the first habitual info, then pressed "del" to enter the bios and my screen turned black. I never be able to see the damn bios! So i did some test: -swap 1 memory stick at a time to different slot -try 2 different video card -try to remove cpu and memory for a complet reset -clear cmos and safe boot jumper All power connector is on. Guest thespin Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 First, use the jumper to reset cmos for ten minutes. Press the DEL key a couple of times WHEN the logo appears. How many diagnostic LEds remain on when the system halts ? RATM Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 sometimes i got the 2 first red led from the left, sometimes the 3 first. what the exact procedur to clear cmos? i had try like this: pull the power cord from psu, then switch the ccmos jumper for 10 seconde, reswitch the jumper and then put the power cord back.
