gperselis Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Everyone, I just put together my rig and for some strange reason I keep getting artifacts all over my desktop. I have a Matrox Millenium G200 with the latest drivers installed. I pulled the card out and tried it on another rig and it works fine, but when I put it back in my Lanparty SLI-DR it happens again. Has anyone experienced this with a PCI video card?
bp1019 Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Well first thing is check the voltage the mobo is feeding the card. Artifacts are generally due to the GPU overheating. Also, check to make sure its not your RAM thats causing that by running memtest. Note: You need to make a sig with your system specs. Warrio Poet Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Artifacts can be a result of heat issues or lack of power to the card. Since this is a PCI, not PCI-E, I take it the only power fed to the card is via the PCI slot. Therefore check on your power supply to make sure its good to go.
