catkicker Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Does anyone use the power on by keyboard/hotkey option in bios? I have not been able to get it to work. It worked fine on my Nf3 UT 250GB board but no luck with the NF4 board.

SnooP Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 because every problem can be explained by PSU thats how this forum works i'll give it a try see if it works here. you running ps2 or usb keyboard? edit: doesn't work for me either, neither boot on keyboard (ps2) or boot on mouse (usb). Neoforcer Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Make sure you set the power on jumper set the jumper to 2 and 3. JP7 is used to select the power of the PS/2 keyboard/mouse port. Selecting 5VSB will allow you to use the PS/2 keyboard or PS/2 mouse to wake up the system. BIOS Setting Configure the PS/2 keyboard/mouse wake up function in the Integrated Peripherals submenu of the BIOS. Set the Keyboard to any key the mouse to power on mouse click The 5VSB power source of your power supply must be supported

Dave_Sz Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 Wake? As in from stand by? That doesn't work for me either, stand by doesn't work at all that is. If I put it to sleep and then wake it, it comes back at stock speeds, no OC, but with 1.66v on the cpu, every time.

Neoforcer Posted October 14, 2005 Posted October 14, 2005 your trying to wake and not power on rite ? it works for me from wake but not as a boot i wish it did, then i could lock the front of my case I have mine set this way it make booting the PC easy as all you have to do is touch any key on the keyboard and the PC will boot. I love this feature I got spoiled with a NF7 setup the same way. If you follow the instructions on setting the JP7 jumper and bios I posted above it should work as long as your PSU supports 5VSB chances are it does. I have ran into some keyboards and mouses that have a hard time using this feature from time to time. When this happen I usually changing them kout to a different one then it should work.
