hitman012 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 Just OCed my CPU to 4800+ speeds... it seemed too easy! Haven't tested the OC yet (will run Prime for 6hrs or so tomorrow) but it's stable in general Windows use. Here's what I did - can anyone tell me if I'm missing anything? Raised FSB slowly up to 270MHz, RAM is at 1:1 3-3-3-7 with 1T @ 2.7V Lowered CPU multi to 9x Lowered HTT multi to 3x It seems too easy... Fight Game Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 The hard part (if there is one), is usually getting the ram settings correct. You'll find out if this is needed when you get to the prime 95. Don't limit yourself to just this test though. You should also run something that will tax your gpu, like 3dmark 03 or 05. hitman012 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I know many people with the Ballistix stable at these settings, so hopefully it'll work out OK I can't help but worry it'll somehow explode, lol. You can probably tell I've not OCed properly before.

hitman012 Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 Failed SuperPI 32M, so I backed off to 265FSB and it passed... will do further stability benches today. Not sure what's causing it to fail, but I suspect the CPU personally. I might raise the voltage a notch and see what that does...
