Hello,

Use 1 stick in the top orange slot, enter the bios and set CPC to disabled.

- then save and exit,

- turn off

- and insert the other stick.

- Power the pc

What happens now?

Sharp,

I really appreciate your helping with this problem....however, I have beem ALL OVER my BIOS and cannot find anything that says anuthing about CPC.

I would dealy love to be able tho get the most from my board, but my bios version is different than the one that they show in the MB manual....so....

is there another name or way that the CPC is called or named?

Thanks, and hope to hear from you soon...

Sharp,

I wish not to sound like an utter fool, but due to my own inadiquacies, I was worried about the correct bios..etc...but, I have successfully dl'd and installed the bios upgrade, and have done that what you suggested (having found the CPC line....heh heh heh), I wish to thankyou for your help in this matter and getting my problems resolved. Now, where did I put that AMD 64x2 chip......

Bye and thanks again.

Hi All,

After searching the forums around I think that this is the best spot to float a problem.

I have just replaced my Cosair memory with Mushkin as stated in my sig and at random the computer freezes with pretty much default settings in Bios. I have set the memory to the factory 3.4.3.8 (200MHz) timings and the thing just freezes at random. I have run memtest for 6 hours and it worked fine without any fails. then when I disabled memtest and loaded windows it locked before all the stuff had finished loading  It happens at random can happen 3 times a day or not happen for a few days

I havent installed/removed any programs/drivers etc since changing the memory.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. But I expect to do a full reinstall of windows.

Thanks Spoonz.

Random freezes are usually a sign of a weak power supply.

Do you have all 4 power connectors plugged into the board?

In windows also run Prime95 (in-place large FFT's)
