leviathan69 Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I'm trying to reflash the chip from my Lanparty NF2 rev A. with any bios that will work. (corrupted during mem divider experiments) I downloaded the latest tmods bios cd etc. that all went fine. I also read that the nf2 and nf4 bios chips were compatible. So I clear the cmos, boot to the cd, then pull the good NF4 bios out, then put the bad NF2 chip in. I then try to flash the chip to Lanparty NF2 6/19 (says to use this for hotswap) It tells me that the P/N does not match the system and that the bios is meant only for Nforce boards. I'm really in a bind here. My wife is pissed! (her rig) Does anybody know if this should work or is there something else I need to do? Also why is there no bios listed for the Rev A. board? Thanks , Levi I think you answered your own question when you said that there was no flash for Rev A board. If there isn't a flash for the Rev A board then it won't work. leviathan69 Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 As it turns out you can flash a rev A board with a LPB bios. I was using the one that was recommended for hotflashing but I guess the /f switch was telling it to use part of the existing bios to reprogram the new bios. Since the old bios was totally corrupt it wouldn't work (i guess). Just used one of tic tacs bios and it works now. I never thought you would be able to flash a NF2 Bios chip using a NF4 board.
