Donski Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 You didn't try to hot swap them did you? Since you can't access them with your old computer anymore, I'm clueless on what to suggest next. I would have bet it was bad cables.

StephenC Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 So let me get this straight. You have it configured as slave. You can see it in bios. But it is not being recognized in XP? Did you do what thunda asked? "Control Panel>> Administrative Tools>> Computer Management>> Disk Management" Â Edit: Also check device manager. And you do have power connected (4 pin molex) to it right. Also have you tried it in another system?
Neoforcer Posted September 2, 2005 Posted September 2, 2005 Also was your older PC running any type of soft bios. The only time I have see something like what you describe is when soft bios is install to make your older system see large drives. I had a friend who had this problem in the end I used partition magic explore feature to get the files of the hard drive.
