Looking good....
So is 785G meant to be better than 790FX or where is it's position in the chipset lineup?

We will soon see but it is supposed to compete with the 780G (separate class from the 790 series)

This will be interesting to me as I'm trying to build a mATX machine. It is strange though to say that the 785G chipset has reached a peak when it is so new.

780G --> 785G --> 790GX --> ? (I'd guess an overclocked 785G in the future, like they did with the 790GX, which is an overclocked 780G.)

I got a 100% overclock on mine, bringing it to 1GHz. Fully stable.

BTW Pingo the 790FX doesn't have integrated graphics.

I know 790FX doesn't have integrated graphics, but anybody buying a mobo with 790FX isn't going to want it anyway :P

So and after 790GX comes 790X?

i thought X was the same as a GX but without the intergrated GPU, if thats the case then shouldnt it be: 780G -> 785G -> 790X -> 790GX -> 790FX ? :huh:

Logically yes thats how it should be, but its 790GX -> 790X. Maybe ajamatson can explain it?

I forgot where I saw it in AMD's documentation but they stated the 790X was to bridge the gap between the 790GX and the 790FX for users not wanting a integrated GPU but could not afford the 790FX.
