If that is real I gotta get it together. Lol!

The promise of Blackjack and Hookers for services rendered works sometimes. Seriously, I am surprised too. I guess cooking their video cards with Furmark benchmarks is more rewarding?

45c while stress testing ain't bad at all. That's nothing to worry about no matter what case you put that setup in.

Windows 7 64 bit is the only way to go these days. I have been using a 64 bit OS since 2007 and I haven't looked back. This isn't like the old days of XP where support is severely hit and miss. Most games and programs out there support 64 bit no issues. Like others have said here it swaps back to 32 bit automatically for those programs out there that haven't decided to be supportive of 64 bit . And for some reason it doesn't you can manually set it yourself and that won't be happening too ofter these days either unless you are still running some mega old programs from WinBlows 95 era. "You Can Do it!"

It dinged me on my drivers for my laptop being a little old... I tried the new drivers but the new drivers makes my G73 run like my old HP hunkacrappa... But2082 still isn't bad for a laptop.

Who disables HTT on their i7's?
Hedghawg71 replied to krazypoloc's topic in Processors, Motherboards and Memory
I have seen where (and if I could find it I would link to it) they did test on the same 860 with it on and off. there wasn't any real difference in gaming performance overall, but with the HT off the processor did run way cooler and with less volts at the same clocks. NOW on the other side of that coin, try and run an app that HT helps like video/mp3/digital photography whatever and the system seems a bit crippled in comparison. I think if you are a hard core gamer that overclocks your system to get that extra edge and occasionally rips mp3's or whatever, kill the HT and go with it, maybe you should have bought the i5 750/760 instead if that is you. If you using your machine for video encoding/decoding, Photo Shop or a program that requires alot of rendering you probably should leave it on and go with that. I tried the HT off a couple of times in the past, personally it was the difference of .05 vcore and about 10c at it's ceiling., so I leave it on. -

I have been using the Nvidia card's sound since I bought my 465's. I disabled the onboard sound because of conflicts and the HDMI actually sound alot better. The sound comes through my television not the onboard ports of the motherboard.
