paulktreg Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Dodgy sensors or looking at the wrong sensors? Got mixed results over the years with voltage sensors and readings and I'm convinced there isn't a particular standard for them and motherboard manufacturers lay thing out slightly different? I remember a DFI board I once had that gave some very strange readings through some program or other in Windows. You can only be certain when you actually measure the voltages. wevsspot Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 When testing power supplies it's very rare for the -12V rail to actually read -12V, it's more often than not hovering around -11.5V at low loads and approaches -12V as the load increases. Paul, for my own education.......... Is the -12v supposed to stay within the same ATX specification as the +12v (i.e. +/- 5%)?
