shaolin95 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Speakers are one of my biggest passions...I got a 5.1 consisting of the X-SLS tower, X-CS center and 2 more X-CS as rears. The sub is a piece of junk so will remained unnamed. My stereo system is the Rocket Strata Minis....love those gems. Here is a review I did and some pics of my setup. http://av123forum.com/showthread.php?t=18572 Regards Speakers are one of my biggest passions...I got a 5.1 consisting of the X-SLS tower, X-CS center and 2 more X-CS as rears. Andrewr05 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Please don't mix subs like that...Why not? Just throwing them into the corners would be bad but if they were both tuned properly it wouldn't be bad...
coolcat97 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Reminds me of something funny my room mate did. Of course, yours makes sense... He took out a larger college loan than he needed so he could buy a massive amount of pc stuff, including the top-of-the-line Klipsch 5.1's. Of course... he got lazy and didn't hook up the back speakers... and nothing supports a 3.1 set-up, so... he's using like $600 speakers as a 2.1 (+1?) front-channel only, and has his rear speakers chilling in the closet, lol. i have the back spks and fron in front of me, both are set for front audio
kendellrt Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 I may just get a basic 2.1 for gaming, but I think my wife would prefer that I just get a good set of headphones for that. Then she doesn't have to hear all of the "Boom! Headshot!" noises.
