d6bmg Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 ^ Sadly not available everywhere. And the worse thing is, most of those who are new to overclocking don't even know the name of Titan thank to their quiet business in past 2 years or so. Rofltroll Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 ^ Sadly not available everywhere. And the worse thing is, most of those who are new to overclocking don't even know the name of Titan thank to their quiet business in past 2 years or so. Believe it or not I found out about Titan from Overclocker's Club ADs - never thought I'd actually find one of these internet ads that is actually useful and is also the only regret I have for installing ad-block plus. I should turn it on for OCC

IVIYTH0S Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 IMHO the 212 is still the best 212+: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065 for $30 Xigmatek S1283: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835233082 for $33 The D14 is no way no how worth triple the money IMHO, my friend's 212+ took his 2500K to 4.5ghz @ like 78C. With CPUs getting more efficient, you don't need a cash cow anymore to get a decent OC.
d6bmg Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 ^ This depends a lot on ambient. Although Hyper 212/212+/212 EVO is very very good budget cooler.
IVIYTH0S Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) ^ This depends a lot on ambient. Although Hyper 212/212+/212 EVO is very very good budget cooler. He has a HAF 912 which without added fans isn't the greatest (nor worse) case for airflow. But temps aside my opinion remains unchanged, is 300-500 extra MHz really worth 3x the money?? I know I'd rather put $60 into the GPU portion of the machine myself, now THAT would show real life benefits Edited April 5, 2012 by IVIYTH0S
