  1. well im the only person that really konws how to use it. Grandpa can kinda use the PC, but doesnt konw how to acess the router.
  2. the issue with that is that the cable would have to go from Grandmas house that has the Internet connection to Dads house next door.
  3. so ive got a PC that connects to the intnernet wirelessly through a Range Expaner to my netowrk and i can Send out Packets, but i cannot revieve any. ive restarted teh PC, installed new Drivers. and none of that worked. i uninstalled my Security Software( becasue the subscription expired) and that allowed me to Ping things on the internet and my network with variable results (25-50% packet loss). got any ideas on what i can do to fix it, because me and one of my friends have run out of ideas on what could be wrong, i think my range Expander is going dead, becasue ive started to have issues on my Macbook with it, and it use to work fine and i also think that the Wireless Cards are almost shot, because ive got about 18MBPS speed and Very Good signal too. any ideas?
  4. So ive got a MSI 790GX-G65 and id like to replace the CPU Cooler on it with the Zalman CNPS10x Extreme Heatsink, and id like to konw if you think there would be any clearance issues with it because i know its gotta be clear 140mmx140mm arround the processor. im currently running a AMD Phenom 2 X3 720 and 2.8GHZ, useing the stock cooler right now. and i dont reallly wanna overclock it, i would like to make it cooler though, because im planing on doing some upgrades to the system and id like to know if you think there will be any clearance issues with the Heatsink, and if yall have any suggestions about it.
  5. if you need it for Coooling The NZXT Apollo has really helped take my PC from 90F to 78F. there is the NZXT ZERO that doesnt have a side window and has a lot of fan options but its a Full tower case.
  6. I did an AMD to Intel Chipset Change and i didnt have any problems. Before i changes i was having trouble with he Ethernet card and i still had that afterwards.
  7. i had a ASUS motherboard and i didnt have any problems with it untill a year later when i got the NZXT Apollo case and i didnt know that the motherboard didnt support Firewire and the case had FireWire on it like the old PC case did. and Apparently that Fried it. and the Intel Asus i had Raplaced an old AMD Asus motherboard for Compaq. Ive Had windows Vista since 2007
  8. when i first put the Drive in the PC while i still had Windows XP it Showed up as a DVD-Ram Drive once i installed Vista it was listed as a DVD Writer. the Graphics Card Maj0r Gamer suggested is just about $2 less then the one i have from amazon. So i looked up AM3 Motherboards on Amazon and i couldnt find any from Asrock or Biostar. i found a MSI MS-7576 (790GX-G65) Motherboard for 130 and Crucial 4GB kit (2GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 memory module for $58 i want to try to keep the PC under $600 Around $550. The AM3 Configuration has it at $560 The highest Games i Have is Spore and Soon to be Sims 3. I plan on getting New monitors but i mainly use 1024x768 for my resolution. ok so the build is now MS Windows Vista Ultimate x64 NZXT Apollo Case NZXT Blue LED Fan ATi TVWonder 550 PCI DVD/CD-RW PATA DVD-Ram Drive PATA Western Digital Caviar Green 1 TB Bulk/OEM Hard Drive 3.5 Inch, 32 MB Cache, 7200 RPM SATA II WD10EADS MSI MS-7576 (790GX-G65) Motherboard Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR2 PCI-Express Video Card OCZ OCZ600MXSP ModXStream Pro 600 Watt Power Supply Crucial 4GB kit (2GBx2), 240-pin DIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 memory module Amd Phenom II X3 720 Black Ed Antec TriCool fan unit ( TRICOOL120MM RED LED ) Antec TriCool case fan ( TRICOOL120MMGREENLED )
  9. ok. im building a New AMD Phenom 2 Based PC and i have a few qestions about the Parts. First these are the Parts and OS im going to be using MS Windows Vista Ultimate x64 NZXT Apollo Case NZXT Blue LED Fan ATi TVWonder 550 PCI DVD/CD-RW PATA DVD-Ram Drive PATA Western Digital Caviar Green 1 TB Bulk/OEM Hard Drive 3.5 Inch, 32 MB Cache, 7200 RPM SATA II WD10EADS Asus M4A78 Plus Socket AM2+/AM3 / AMD770 / DDR2 / Gigabit LAN / Crossfire / Raid / ATX Motherboard Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR2 PCI-Express Video Card OCZ OCZ600MXSP ModXStream Pro 600 Watt Power Supply Corsair Dominator 4 GB (2 X 2 GB) 240-pin DDR2 1066MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit w fan Amd Phenom II X3 720 Black Ed Antec TriCool fan unit ( TRICOOL120MM RED LED ) Antec TriCool case fan ( TRICOOL120MMGREENLED ) ok now. ive been looking at the ASUS M4A78 on NewEgg and saw that some people are having problems. Has anyone Had any experience with this motherboard. anyway I also want to know what you think about this PC. I dont plan on Useing Watercooling or Overclocking the Processor.
  10. im building a PC thats arround $550. Depending on weather you use Amazon.com or not. but it does not include a case.
  11. i dont suggest useing Norton ghost. I was Cloning a HDD once and instead it erased it and all the help they give you is to get the new version.
  12. on amazon you can get the memory in a bundke with the cooler, thars what im getting when i get the PC. and it will already have 3 120 Fans in it.
  13. im thinking about getting one for my Ram on the PC im building because before i had problems with the memory heating up next to the Pentium 4 processor i had. even though im getting a cooler AMD Phenom X3 for my PC i want it to be as cool as possible with air cooling. you might be able to find some reviews about it on Amazon.com though.
  14. i use Speed Fan to keep track of my PC temps. But you can usually find the max temp on the manufacturers website.
  15. before my pc made a high pitched noise, probably because of the aging HDD is had in it. And the Fans in it made a bit of noise but id didnt really bother me.
