  1. Nope you can not. Theres only "auto" or "off" setting. This problem seems common with nvidia. For example i found a bios patcher from Asus to fix this issue. But it is only for their Boards of course
  2. I am looking for a nice and stable AM2 motherboard with decent overclocking capabilities. DDR-800 is a must. Only need 1 PCI Express GFX slot but SLI wont hurt. The more PCI slots the better. I prefer clean motherboards without tons of useless onboard chips which more often give you trouble than a value for the extra buck. At the moment i have a MSI K9N Diamond but i cant recommend that.
  3. Yeah thanks it is like that but had to build up a system 1st to find out. The onboard cards are both xxxxed up and unuseable. Nvidia got a bad MAC adress inbuilt and the Marvel just hangs every now and then. Had to add a realtek cheap butt card which works like a charm under linux. All hails to MSI for their supreme China crap. Will never get some MSI board again as 2 other models i got have various annoying probolems too.
  4. ok i have a special question would be great if someone could check this. The mobo got 2 network cards onboard 1 Nforce 1 Marvel In bios theres only the options Onboard Lan controller and nvidia mac lan Can anyone please test if the marvel card is disabled by the "onboard lan controller" setting and if the nvidia one stays available/online. If both are disabled by that switch it would suck hard. Thanks in advance.
  5. The big one is gone already. I have not really used them at all just did a full ontrack test which all drives passed 100%. Guarantee is 5 years and they have almost all of that left. I can provide you with the serial Nr. when i get back home so you can verify the guarantee on WD`s page yourself. Standard secure German mail to the Netherlands will cost 17 EUR but if you know a cheaper/better way i can use that too.
  6. WD1500AHFD with Window 165 EUR + shipping which can be discussed WD740ADFD 99 EUR + shipping which can be discussed Ebay stuff: http://myworld.ebay.de/skyline_gtr_veilside Ok i hope thats all needed 1st time doing this here sorry
  7. It`s 3 am and i am tired sorry. I hate ebay, they steal my money. What do you mean with heat or ebay? Pics i will do now...
  8. I got several WD Raptors from 80 to 150 Gigabyte for sale. Simply don`t need them for my tasks. I will ship to Europe only, preferably Germany. If anyone is interested i can post more details.
  9. Hey i wanna do the same as the thread starter so i just ask too So far i ordered: Infinity 975X/G Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 MSI NX7900GS-TD512E-OC Ram is the question, in Germany i can get the following brands: Crucial / OCZ / G.E.I.L / Kingston / A-DATA From OCZ theres the biggest selection. I need 2 * 1 GIG Kit with maximum overclock capabilities. Please recommend one. Since i am getting Coolermaster Stuff cheap i will use one of their PSUs and CPU Coolers. Cooler Master Eclipse AM2&Core2Duo Cooler Green Power 600 is big enough?
  10. Hello been a while since i read in depth into overclocking. That time AMD Opterons were the way to go and i am still using my 144. I wanna buy a new core system (board/ram/cpu) for around 450 EUR +- 50 EUR. A decent air cooler for overclocking is needed too. For the $ ppl thats ~530 $. What would you advise to buy today regarding decent overclocking capabilities and a stable system?

    Case

Most cases suck totally or have parts that are not really thought about by the engineerers. Actually i have the Antec P180 and the new Coolermaster 830. None of them is worth the money. Thermaltakes are even worse. You can make holes into them with your fingers because they are so damn thin. The only perfect case i came across is the Yeong Yang CETUS Series. If they are big enough for you get one. The Antec P180 i bashed enough in here already i think About the Stacker 830 These are the "lockers" on the sides and not mouting rails. If you put them to lock some very small metal pins pop out and into 2 screw holes of a drive. Totally useless system holds nothing at all. No wonder they tell you to use screws too to attach drives. As you can see on the pic it is really hard to get the screws in. The holes are a bit too small too. The floppy attachment brackets were unuseable on 2 cases i got because the screw holes are simply too small. Series failure i think. The motherboard rail is nice but its just held in place by 2 small plastic stoppers. The lower part does not tighten at all and hangs around kinda loose. Still this one is the best big tower i came across just needs some minor modifications.
  12. Since you can`t buy OCZ PSU`s in Germany i started using those Coolermasters. So far i build 5 rigs with them and got no complaints. Best was 2*7900GTX, Lanparty NF4 SLI-DR Expert,Corsair TWINX2048-4400PRO, 2 * WD Raptor 150GB, 3 * Seagate Barracuda 7200. 300GB, Opteron 170. The only thing that sucks is, that it just got 1 floppy power connector. So you will need an adapter.
  13. Addition to the P180 nightmare. Today i removed the front to do some cleaning and because down left it was not 100% accurate in place. It`s just hold by cheap butt plastic nipples of very low quality. Of course one broke and now the front is kinda hanging around lose. This POS is going back today. The P160 is a very nice case tho.
