WinXP Logon screen shows a patch of discolorization on top left of dis

Guys,

 

I just noticed this. Take a look at the pics below. I have seen this happening with the logon screen and shutdown screen. It looks like a blot on top left of the display.

 

Any idea what this may be? Display issue or something else?

Thats normal. Its just the design of it thats all. If you reduce your colour quality to 16 Bit it stands out much more.

Nothing is wrong with your monitor. That is just how the screen is. I think it is supposed to be sun rays.

Reduce your Colour Quality to 16Bit then look at it, it looks more pixely. Don't worry about it

 

Yep, and i've always assumes it was meant to represent a sun or something, in a blue sky maybe???

Just the way the image was created - light emanating from the corner.
