dingobiatch Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 so i have a panaflo m1a 120mm fan on my xp-120 heatsink. problem is, the fan makes a strange rattling noise when i set the fan to be more than medium speed (fan controller). now, i have tried taking the fan out of the case, but the noise still happens. anyone have a similar issue? Angry_Games Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 the two little 'rubbery' strips that came with the XP-120...put them on the heatsink where the fan rests against it

superflyguy Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Hey Ho m8, think it may be the fan. I have three Panaflo 120mm x 38mm and a 80mm x15mm and never had any problems with noises or rattles. Best fans I've had, maybe you got a bad one? Has the noise always been there or has it started recently? These fans have fluid dynamic bearings that don't wear out over time like other fans. Let us know how ya get on.
