Most likely you are having problems with your RAM, I'd suggest running a few memory tests. Chipset drivers won't really solve a problem like that, unless the ones you are current using are broken, which I doubt. The current 6.66 drivers work quite well if they are installed correctly. 6.66Didn't help me at all, same as with 6.39 and 6.53. What was your problem?
