opus Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Hello! I have not find info my problem. About a week ago i have the final part for my new gaming machine. Assembled to go. ... and it runs like hell. I have so much to learn about overclocking the Venice. (It shold go like about 2600-2700 at least, and the memory is said to have the abitlity to go at 300 dually. I think it is a coolink problem, or maybe not.) The case: i have 2Mbit adsl but i can only use 512kbit. There is no way that i can make it faster than this. It is crazy, since my old 10$ was running the net at 2Mbit with no problem at all. I have a clean installed XP home, newst (6.53) driver, 2005.10.3 bios. Finally I have decided to shut down NV firewall, but it have not helped. Tried to reinstall driver, same result. The line is perfect, T-onlines man verified it from my place. What should i do? Ubermann Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 "i have 2Mbit adsl but i can only use 512kbit" i think ?
opus Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Yes, this is the problem. I have 2Mbit but can only use 512kbit. 2x Giga LAN should be enough for 2Mbit, should not? Since then, i have reseted TCP/IP through command line, reinstall all the nv drivers, and still the same. I do not know, what to try next. Cythrawl Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 What is your network interface connected to? A router?, a hub? a swtich, striaght to DSL Modem? If so, what models, firmware, etc if possible... have you tried BOTH Nic's on your moboand get the same result?... and what are you using to test your speed and who is your Internet provider?.. I know its a lot of questions.... but they are all needed
opus Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I am connected directly to the dsl modem. It is a D-link DSL-360T, no firmware info yet. Provider: T-online. I could not find driver for the "Marwell" LAN so i have decided to disable it in the bios. Speed-Tests: T-online provided, and different file downloads with explorer, Nettransport 1.86, Smart FTP 2.0... Crazy: A few minutes ago i have installed the old Edimax ethernet card and it goes with 2Mbit. You can say problem is solved, but why do i have 2! integrated LAN if i need a third one for quality service?
Cythrawl Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 You really should try the Marvell LAN.... Go here for drivers.... http://www.marvell.com/drivers/search.do Select the following PRODUCT CATEGORY PC Connectivity Wireless PRODUCT FAMILY Yukon YOUR PLATFORM Whatever your OS is Submit your search and it will come back with a driver... Download the driver... Unzip it... Reenable the Nic in BIOS and try that... The NVLAn is crap anyway so you aint losing much see my post in HERE. At least it will stay crap until Nvidia stop shoving thier thumb up thier butt and sitting on thier elbows and release some working software and drivers for the damn thing....
