diabloII Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 ok, i've been getting a lot of errors from memtest86 on my geil value select ram and i've been BSODing however i just looped memtest86+ v1.51 for a while (3-20 bios on dfi lanparty ultra-d ut) and the only error i've been one @ Test 5 (very last one, i was at 98 or 99%) i've tried Vdimm 2.7, 2.8, and 2.9, and they all gave errors at that part btw, i'm using Rgone's settings and it reduced my number of errors per run from around 60-80 to only 1 (that one) wierd....any comments? Vista Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Running in dual channel is harder than single. You may have to loosen DRAM timings to 2.5-4-4-8 or even 3-6-6-12 and test upward from stock FSBxCPU Multi to find a plateau of stability. So far, I've found that you need to take your worst stick timings and speeds, then subtract about 5-10% because your CPU memory controller has to work harder in dual channel, and there are timing interactions with your better stick.
