Bosco Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 Not sure how many people know about this thought you all might be intrested about the new Quad memory that should be release in a few months. Right now its hlding a transfer rate of 4.1gigs per second not bad. I have seen a demo chip in action seems pretty good so far. I was also wondering if you guys have heard that video cards will be going back to a high end pci interface, just after i get used to AGP. They seem to change the stuff faster then i change my underware.
Psywar Posted April 29, 2002 Posted April 29, 2002 yeah.. they need to stop chaning so much dang stuff.. If there gonna upgrade the video card stuff why dont they just like make AGP better.. and for us people who have new stuff.. they should make like a bios flash or something.. so we dont have to buy a new board for better stuff lol.. RaTeD-R Posted May 29, 2002 Posted May 29, 2002 Yes, if what you are talking about is PCI-X, I just found out about it myself. I was reading some mag and they enlightend me to the fact, and after snooping around I found this site. http://www.pcisig.com/specifications/pci_x Which pretty much explains it all. I think this is what you are talking about.
