musk Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 I am having a really odd thing happen when I boot this machine. The hard drive light flashes really quickly for a long time while the XP boot screen sits and looks like a bored Cylon. It takes about 45 seconds to boot. Anyone have any ideas. spdiscus Posted March 29, 2005 Posted March 29, 2005 There's a setting at the bottom of one of the non-Genie screens in BIOS. It is HDD spin-up, or something like that. You'll have to scroll down to see it. It may be set to a really high number, for some reason. Just one of many possibilities, I guess.
