jtc_hunter Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Is the 1200-1800 htt range the preferred range for 939 cpus on the n4 ultra-d? Also , will the "auto" htt setting in the bios always keep the htt in this range?
Jimi Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Well, what I've noticed is, you can have the HTT multiplier at X5 when your at 250MHz or below. Between 250 and 300 it should be X4. It seems to me that you decrease the HTT multiplier by one every 50MHz. I could be wrong though, but that's what I've found.
spdiscus Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 You will probably not be able to come anywhere near saturation at 1200 or 1800, so it's fine just to leave that on Auto, and let the hard/firmware decide the best spot for the current setup.
