Hi guys sorry to bother you with what maybe a noob problem

i flashed to bios official 9/14

no probs so far running at stock

but i cant overclock anymore

with old bios 8/24

i could just raise the fsb to 220 and it was all good at

2-2-2-10

now with 9/14 it doesnt boot if i try the same settings or timings set on auto

9/14 is only good cause it fixed my temp readings is ther a way to fix the temp readings and go back to 8/24 bios so i can have my overclock of 220fsb back

thanks again

Any bios almost always has an effect on the settings before and after. 220-225 along in there is where I have seen a number of people have to move from 2,2,2, settings to 2.5 Cas after bios flash. There was no guarantee you would still run 2,2,2. Might even have to up the voltage to the memory. It likely will never work the same as it did before.

Is there really a supported official bios update (such as 9/14) that is backed by DFI? I won't mess with anything unofficial because I don't have a spare bios chip or bios saviour or anything like that. Would be nice to have accurate temp readings though.

The 9/14 bios was official at one time but DFI had to stop supporting it because it said it supported dtr's and mobiles, AMD no like.

  • 1 year later...

I have the same issue.

I can only overlclock with the original 3/10 bios.

My overclock is 9x312 (2808Mhz) @ 1.375v, 2/3 mem divider so 416Mhz ram.

I tried 310-1, 316, 623-3, 704-2bta without success.

I want to upgrade my bios because I want to use 4 dimms at the same time and the original 310 don't have the CPC option and doesn't set it to 2T automatically. Even if I try with only 2 dimms, I can't reproduce my overclock unless I set my ram divider to 1/2. Anyone fixed that ?

Also, which bios would be the best for my OCZ premier, -1,-2,-3 ?

How can I tell if it's TCCD or BH5, I have no clue what that means.

Thanks.
