What is the maximum wattage of the fan that the fan header on the motherboard will accept, without the use of a header savior? Thank you in advance for your support. Angry_Games Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 22w i think is the max (if its like the NF2) but we never suggest running fans off the header, only the RPM monitoring while using power from the 4-pin molex adapters. you can run them right off the headers...but its better if you dont especially with high power fans. BB_One Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Wow, kindly can u triple check that, generally speaking it is between 3 to 5.5 watts. most do less the 3.5 some do 5. 22w sure sound like way up there. as for not running high power fan on there i understand, but i need to have the correct figure please.
