thefake007 Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Whats a good VDD? I have mine set to 1.7v, but does anything higher yield more stability? Please list your FSB, mhz and what your chipset voltage is at. Thanks. Also, is it safe to go higher than 1.7 with stock cooler? I did get rid of the stock thermal grease and used type44. RGone Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004  ...to the chipset all the time. It is based on what your board likes and responds to best anyway as major components and IC's and such influence how well it responds to voltage levels at any rate. Most find 1.9V to be flakey but I put 3 sticks of memory in and 'could' then use 1.9V on the chipset easily. No one knows how well someone else's board will respond anyway as each is a little different. Run some tests and see what your board likes. It will show you what 'your' boards likes best and it may or may not be the same as another persons. Of course with 4 settings>someone else will be running the same as yours. A number of people have found AUTO to work fine for them as well> so that gives you about 5 choices. Funny I never run AUTO but others do so. Try them yourself and you will then tune your boards best. Sincerely, RGone...
red930 Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 as Rgone mentioned it depends on your board... I can run very high FSB and never move the voltage off of Auto.... some can't
