    Lanparty Ultra B won't boot

will do tomorrow. I'm done fooling with it for the day. Going to clear CMOS overnight, and try a few more things. If that doesn't work I'm just going to swap in the Infinity. It's good to have backups... I tried a few more sticks of RAM, and that isn't the problem. I'll check the CPU tomorrow.

    Lanparty Ultra B won't boot

no, not yet. I looked through some other threads with similar problems, I tried the reset/power switch trick and that didn't work. Holding insert didnt work either.

    Lanparty Ultra B won't boot

Exactly what is in the sig, except it's a Lanparty instead of my old infinity. Good thing I still have my old infinity though. Also, it hasn't been OCed too much (2.0Ghz) for the past month or so due to the warming temperatures. Not that that would make a difference. I've tried clearing the CMOS for several hours and that hasn't helped. I will try overnight tonight.
  6. Hello everyone. I have been running fine on the 6/19 bios for about a year until last night. I tried to cold boot my computer and I didn't get anything on the screen at all. The CDROM drives both blink repeatedly, and the HD light is on. The HD light turns off after about 2-3 minutes. For the LED code, I get 1&2, then 3, then 4, and then it repeats again, in an endless cycle. Also, I have already hot-flashed the bios with my infinity and I still get the same deal. Anyone have any ideas? I recall from when I read the forum last year that some people held down keys on the keyboard to get passed the cold boot problem? Thanks in advance.
  7. Switched from a finity to a lanparty ultra b yesterday. Switch went fine. Decided to flash the bios this morning. Got lazy, used winflash. It said it flashed properly... lies. 4 leds of death. pulled out finity, cpu of another system, and ram from another system. Cracked the bios socket for the lanparty (only plastic corner) hot flashed (surprisingly, I was calm?) Success. Moral of the story, never use winflash. I wanted to save the two minutes in creating a bootable floppy, instead I wasted an hour. First hotflash though! Complete success, minus the whole cracking the corner.

    max nb temp?

I have my vdd on auto.

    max nb temp?

Its all good. At 1.85v (max voltage I'm willing to run) I hit my max cpu OC @ around 2.5Ghz. At load, my nb only gets up to 40 deg C max. So I guess I'm pretty safe. I was just wondering if there was a critical temperature like 50 deg C is for CPUs.

    max nb temp?

sorry about the sig. Put it in just now. With 39 deg C as the baseline, how high do you think I should push it? I have stock cooling on teh SB.

    max nb temp?

I put type 44 under the stock heatsink. I have good airflow, and it does get the excess air from my 92mm tornado. But im really looking for a solid temp where I can say no more when I start pushing it. I'm pumping 1.85v through the CPU and the nb gets to 39 deg C under load. how high should I take it?
  12. how hot is too hot for the nb?
  13. Whats a good VDD? I have mine set to 1.7v, but does anything higher yield more stability? Please list your FSB, mhz and what your chipset voltage is at. Thanks. Also, is it safe to go higher than 1.7 with stock cooler? I did get rid of the stock thermal grease and used type44.

    NF2 - Poll - your 6/19 BIOS Results

My mobo just got back from a warped socket RMA, and I requested that the DFI folks there reflash my board to 6-19. Their magic seems to have worked as my board has had no cold boot problems (only 2 tries so far) and only 1 warm boot out of 30+ tries. *KNOCK ON WOOD*
