WC Advice

i was thinking of making the move to WC my system so i started picking out the parts and ive come up with this list.

 

Alphacool NexXxoS XP Bold HIGHFLOW

EK-FC8800 8800GTS – Acetal

12V Laing DDC-1T Pro w/Alphacool Top

Rad XSPC R120-S

XSPC Bay Reservoir – Black

1/2" ID Tygon R3603 Tubing

PVC Hose Clip 1/2" (10 Pack)

 

and i was wondering if their was anything i had missed out and what u guys think i could improve on

After reading some reviews on the components in that kit, I was wondering how the temperatures you would see from that kit would compare to a high end air cooling system, say the Zalman 9700? Will I see significant improvement that would warrant the 200 dollar price tag in your opinion?

 

Sorry to jump into your thread OP, I was also interested in putting a watercooling system together.

I have four quad core rigs, three have Thermalright Ultra 120 Extremes on them and one has that kit with a Dtek GPU block in the loop. All are running OCed at the same vcore in the same house (same ambient). The water cooled one although it has the 2900xt in the loop runs about 2-3c cooler if that helps you any. Two of the coolers are lapped and one cpu, the water cooling is not.

you MAY NOT get any cooler temps with water....

 

what you get is much more stable temps... and much quieter!
