I don't even bother with the Athlon rig anymore, I had it "slightly" OC'd for quite awhile fluctuating it as the heat permited but we had a heat wave in NH a year or so ago...

:(

Stock POS aluminum S462 heatsink + slight OC + 95+F ambient temp = t3h sux0r

No I don't overclock, I have hit the stage where I just want it to work now, I will always build my own, but OC'ing is just too much for now...

A proper overclock does not lead to instability.
