kendellrt Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 I see that you have replaced Prime95 wiht Orthos. I have never used Orthos, can anyone tell me more about it? Also, what temp proggy are you guys using with OCCT? I'm getting ready to oc my FX-55 for the first time, so help me out!
kingdingeling Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Orthos is the SP2004 Dual-Core version, SP2004 is a somewhat optimized version of prime95. Through MBM5 it can show you the temps at intervals of your choice and it beeps when the test failed. OCCT can also read out MBM5 as far as I know. So as you have a single core, Orthos is unimportant for you.
ccokeman Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Orthos is not optimized for dual core it will recognize 2 cpu's and automatically run 2 threads of prime 95.It will do 4 threads for a quad if i'm not mistaken. It can be used for single core and will work just fine. It will just open 1 test thread for your single core. SP2004 ( Orthos) is just a better looking interface with all of the prime 95 options in plain view rather than trying to hunt them down. I run a custom blend test at priority 8 and use all available memory.
