Phoenixdancer Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Hey all I have watercooling useing a AquaExtreme MP-05 Pro. (on par with a Swiftech Storm) Thing is im getting kinda hot temps, i have lapped my cpu and that reduced my temps around 6c, applyed AS5 and that gave me some cooler temps. but now im at the temps i got now. My CPU is set at @ 450x8 @ 1.5320V in bios which is 1.4780 Idle in Bios voltage readings + windows and at around 1.4660 under full load. Stupid Vdroop tbh. I wana know why my temps are so feking high, i have seen people with lower temps then me with a Storm or TDX and Higher volts!! Im rly pissed off. Oh and my temps greatly depend on the Ambiant tempreture, at 20C room temps i get these temps: 38 idle and 54-56 load. at 10C ambiant temps i get: 26C idle and 38-42C load (useing TAT tool) any help or is this right? when im hoem i will test what temps i get at COMPLEAT STOCK
markiemrboo Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 when im hoem i will test what temps i get at COMPLEAT STOCK Do this. Also, does your case have adequate airflow?
Phoenixdancer Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Do this. Also, does your case have adequate airflow? yes i have good airflow i think 2x80mm fans at front pulling in 2x80mm fans next to mobo blowing out 2x80mm fans at top back blowing out. 3x120mm fans at top pulling air in through rad oh and psu fan. simple but effective all fans are Asaka Amber fans on full, its loud when i have 14 fans at full blast all the time ok i will test it all at stock soon as i finish college in 2 hours

If you've reseated and lapped and all that, then maybe it's as simple as the temperature sensor on the board reading too high? romeo55 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 That's right, Conroe at stock runs real cool, but once you start increasing voltage, then watch the temps shoot up real fast My core 2 at 1.485v is at around 59c
kingdingeling Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 the temps seem OK for conroe, but don't take my word for gold, I have no idea bout conroe, I don't have one, i am basing this opinion on the temps of other members. But that was on air, on water you should be getting better temps!
Phoenixdancer Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Just run pc at Stock settings after 2hours Orthos i had 39C Load. sometimes 40C. thats ok i suppose Idle was 32c aswell. these C are with TAT tho which read the actual Cores temp as there is a Sensor embeded into the core and TAT is the only tool that can read.?? also with the asus probe i get 27C idle and 46c load lol. i think these temps may be ok. nevermind.
