aLeXv305 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Has anyone had mixed temp readings using Smart Guardian? I downloaded the latest version and it gives me mixed up temps. The CPU temp is reading the chipset temp. I dont know why. i tried it on Windows XP Pro and XP Pro x64 and both do the exact same thing. What can I do? gotdamojo06 Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 I would defently use Speedfan, I have never used Smart Guardian. Try downloading Speedfan and installing that to see if the temps are fine, if its not you have a problem with the mobo? http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php <-----EDIT-----> Also check out this post for other software you might want to get... http://forums.overclockersclub.com/?showtopic=64524
kingdingeling Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 mojo, smartguardian is ONLY for DFI board! for your board MSI Core Center is the right thing, but i dunno if the Neo2 is supported by that.

Guest buick454wnos Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I know im going to say something wrong here, the way i say it, so please, correct me if needed but here i go The monitoring chip on the DFI expert, whenever speedfan goes to access it, it somehow shorts something, causing the computer to turn off instantly. This can cause damage to the hardware. What i am mainly trying to say is that, use Smart guardians 64bit version. If that dosent work, use motherboard monitor with the mod for it for the lanparty baords.
