Has anyone had mixed temp readings using Smart Guardian? I downloaded the latest version and it gives me mixed up temps. The CPU temp is reading the chipset temp. I dont know why. i tried it on Windows XP Pro and XP Pro x64 and both do the exact same thing.

What can I do?

I would defently use Speedfan, I have never used Smart Guardian.

Try downloading Speedfan and installing that to see if the temps are fine, if its not you have a problem with the mobo?

I know im going to say something wrong here, the way i say it, so please, correct me if needed but here i go

The monitoring chip on the DFI expert, whenever speedfan goes to access it, it somehow shorts something, causing the computer to turn off instantly. This can cause damage to the hardware. What i am mainly trying to say is that, use Smart guardians 64bit version. If that dosent work, use motherboard monitor with the mod for it for the lanparty baords.
