Queenz Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 (edited) Ok I got like 2 aluminum panel things you take out for the 5.25 inch bays. I was think about putting some thermal paste on my ram, and attaching them on there as if the were aluminum heat spreaders and use 2 paper clips to keep them onto the ram. Is this a good idea or should I just drop it and forget about it? Edited September 1, 2006 by QueenzPCfreak90
anthony Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Ram heat spreaders do absolutly nothing, companies just put them there because they look purdy. Now, 5.25" bay covers are paper clips are not very pretty at all so there is no point. Plus, if something does come loose, you are taking a big risk and not to mention, it would look extremly ugly. kobalt Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 (edited) I'm with RK, heat sinks are to remove heat from components memory rarely heat up enough to think of heat problems BUT i'm all for anything that looks cool anywhere as long as it's well made Edited September 6, 2006 by kobalt
fire_storm Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 Well they might make a very small difference but I would forget the idea.
