Got A Ram Heatsink Mod In Mind But Not Sure If It Will Work?

Recommended Posts

Ok I got like 2 aluminum panel things you take out for the 5.25 inch bays. I was think about putting some thermal paste on my ram, and attaching them on there as if the were aluminum heat spreaders and use 2 paper clips to keep them onto the ram. Is this a good idea or should I just drop it and forget about it?

Ram heat spreaders do absolutly nothing, companies just put them there because they look purdy. Now, 5.25" bay covers are paper clips are not very pretty at all so there is no point. Plus, if something does come loose, you are taking a big risk and not to mention, it would look extremly ugly.

I'm with RK, heat sinks are to remove heat from components memory rarely heat up enough to think of heat problems

BUT i'm all for anything that looks cool anywhere as long as it's well made
